Rules and "you are here"
Let patterns file links, and let the page you are on show its group.
Rules
A rule files a link under a facet or a group by its address. Rules apply when you save, and when the panel looks for the group of the page you are on. Add them in Settings › Rules, or for one group under Edit group › Pages that belong here.
Patterns are written without https:// and www., with * as a wildcard. Upper and lower case do not matter.
| Pattern | Matches |
|---|---|
github.com/* |
everything on GitHub |
github.com/acme/billing-* |
Acme’s billing repositories |
jenkins.*/job/video-* |
video jobs on any Jenkins host |
192.168.1.*/* |
devices on your home network |
Test a URL in Settings › Rules shows which rules a link would hit, or that it would land in the Inbox.
The page you are on
Open a page and the panel brings its group into view:
- You are here (lime) — this exact page is saved in that group.
- Fits this page — no exact match, but a rule or links you saved nearby (the longest shared path) point to the group.
Saving the current page then goes to that group, unless you picked another one.
